Families That Do Sports Together...
09 Sep 2017EXPERIENCEBY SweetEscape

Sports has become huge part of the Adhibrata's family. The four of them actively take part in a variety of sports. Sometimes they join each other and train together. That's how they stay in shape and stregthen not only their muscles, but their family ties too.

As a part of their 10th anniversary celebration in Bali, in the midst of enjoying the spoils of vacation and having fun, they made sports the great theme of their SweetEscape session. The Yogi Mama told us her story.

"We went to Bali to celebrate our 10th anniversary, so I booked SweetEscape session to take our family photos. Since I really wanted to make this celebration even more special, I wanted to capture what best described our family best in this season. Although each of us have a different interest, sports is a huge part of who we are. I thought, ‘Let’s make a memory out of it.’

My husband, Rene, is a triathlete. I like a variety of sports, but nothing ever comes close to my love for my yoga practice. My son, Denzel, is satisfying his curiosity for many times of sports to find out which one is really "him". And my daughter, Debra, is my little mermaid. On the day, we put on our favorite sports attire - a trithalon suit, yoga pants, skateboards, and a swimsuit.

Neither of us had actually tried this acroyoga pose before. My husband and I were glad that we got to try something new together and that it turned out quite well. I'm especially glad that no one got hurt during the process.

Our ten years of marriage wasn't always smooth sailing. We went through many ups and downs. We tumbled, but we got back up again . We accepted more, and expected less. We understand more and demanded less. We love more and believe that all is coming. I thank God for ten years of marriage that is blessed with these two beautiful children. As I look back on these photos of the day, I'm happy that our love for sports brought us together and that it became a large part of who we were. I'm especially happy to see that my husband is actually quite photogenic!”
