This year's Eid is a little different, with quarantine still in place and people not allowed to travel back to their hometowns to celebrate the festivities with the family. However, even during these strange time, we can still enjoy our family moments during Eid at the comfort and safety of our own homes. While doing their Driveway Photo Shoot sessions, we talked with Indonesian radio host and TV personality Nycta Gina and the power couple Syahnaz Sadiqah, an actress and Jeje Govinda, a musician, about how they celebrate Eid Moments at home.
1. How do you celebrate #IdulFitriDiRumahAja?
Gina: We held our Salat Eid (the morning prayer during the first day of Eid) with the family at home. After that we payed our respects to one another and had breakfast with the family with our favourite menu!
Syahnaz & Jeje: We can't go back to our hometown this year, so we stayed in Jakarta, gathering with the family members that live in Jakarta.
2. Why do you decide to celebrate Eid at home?
Gina: Because we love our family! As good citizens, we want to follow government's orders not to go back to our hometown during Eid, for the safety of everyone in our hometown.
Syahnaz & Jeje: We really want this pandemic to be over soon! We as citizens play an important role in stopping the spread of the virus, and because we recently have our twin babies, we do not want to take any risk by traveling outside.
3. Who do you do this for?
Gina: For our family, for our loved ones, for our neighbours, and for the country.
Syahnaz & Jeje: We do this for our loved ones and for our family. We hope the Earth to be healthy again, and everyone can be safe and back to normal again.
