Clara Quiambao is the girl behind the Twitter sensation @ohteenquotes, with over 7 million followers online (The Philippine's 8th most followed Twitter account in 2018), daily anticipating her inspirational quotes about relationship. As a writer, she published books such as “It’s A Love Thing, “P.S. I Love You Na,” and “Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I’m Yours”. In 2014, Clara was in Vulture's '30 people the Internet Needs You to Know' list—nestled in among Vine comedians, YouTube stars, beauty and style icons. This Spring, Clara plans to go to Seoul to see the Sakuras, and we managed to talk to her while she planned her trip!
1. Is this your first Sakura experience in Seoul? Which spots are you most excited to visit during this Sakura season?
I’ve been to Seoul, South Korea for a couple of times and I told myself that my next visit should be in time for Spring! This is actually my first Sakura experience and I think that Seoul is a great place to start. I’m actually looking forward in seeing the Sakuras in full bloom.
Personally, I think some of the must-visit spots to catch the Sakuras are Seokchon Lake and Yeouido Park for the Sakura Festival, Seoul Forest, and Seoul Grand Park.
2. What is your go-to OOTD for a photoshoot under the Sakura trees? Do you have anything in particular to wear or pack?
I would probably wear a floral dress or just something casual with a touch of pink and white or pastels and gray to blend. However, it might still be a bit cold during the first week of April since Seoul’s weather is pretty unpredictable. To be sure, bring a good variety for light and heavy layering.
Before flying, I always try to put together my outfits per day just to avoid over-packing. But I would also still try to modify my OOTDs as I went along with trip to match our itineraries and the temperature of the city.
3. Who will you be going with to Seoul?
I was actually planning to fly solo for a change in time for my birthday in April but an officemate-turned-friend wanted to tag along so I’ll be flying with her!
