With the COVID-19 pandemic in full force, it's easy to feel hopeless and stressed now that everyone has to be working from home and unable to go anywhere. However, we want to remind all of you that we know for sure that this pandemic is not going to last forever; it is only temporary, and one day–soon–everything's going to be back to normal again!
It's always good to have something to look forward to, and with travel bans still in place in many countries around the world, why not start exploring these beautiful places for your next photo session in Jakarta, when all of this is over?
Since its huge renovation for Asian Games 2018, the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) stadium complex at Senayan, Central Jakarta, has transformed into a world-class sporting venue, with lots of instagrammable spots all around the area! Our favourite spot in GBK is the Aquatic Stadium with its all-white look. It is the best spot for a clean and simple backdrop for your photo shoot! Don't forget to check out Hutan Kota Plataran too for a more natural look photo shoot!
Not far from the aforementioned GBK stadium, stood one of the most luxurious hotels in Indonesia: Hotel Mulia Senayan. With lots of beautiful cafés and restaurants to choose from, Hotel Mulia could be the perfect weekend getaway spot for a family gathering or a simple staycation.
One of the most famous tourist spots in the nation's capital, Kota Tua (lit. Old City) is the old town from when the city was still called Batavia under Dutch colonialism. With lots of classic Dutch architecture still standing strong and the recently refurbished Kali Besar canal, Kota Tua is the perfect spot for a colourful and (surprisingly) youthful photo shoot!
On the west side of the city, Puri Tirta Taman Aries offers a large lawn to hold your events and gatherings, as well as a great spot for a family photo shoot! It offers a tranquil and relaxed atmosphere in the midst of Jakarta's usual busyness.
There you have it, four best places to do your next photo shoot in Jakarta after the pandemic is over. Hang in there, Escapists! We're all in this together, and we know that this will end soon, when you can start having your life #CapturedPerfectly again by SweetEscape! Stay safe and healthy!
