02 May 2018INSPIRATIONBY SweetEscape

For all its legendary beauty immortalized in films, songs and, yes, photos, you might be surprised to find out that Paris also has something of a reputation as a dirty city: stinky metro stations, public urination, literring... there's a different side to Paris that a lot of people may be unaware of. You might be wondering, is Paris' world-famous reputation as the City of Love nothing but a scam? Of course not! Read on to check out the five spots in Paris that prove why the city is still the reigning champion of all things beauty and romance.

Notre-Dame de Paris

The leading example of French Gothic architecture, it is no wonder that Notre-Dame is the most visited monument in France (surprise surprise, it's not the Eiffel Tower!). You can climb the towers to enjoy a panoramic view of Paris, but otherwise, you can remain on the grounds and take as many photos as you want with this majestic site as the backdrop.

Pont de Bir-Hakeim

Crossing one of Paris' most famous landmarks, The Seine River, Pont de Bir-Hakeim is a two-level bridge used for the metro trains, motor bicycles and non-motor bicycles. It also provides a gorgeous view of the Eiffel Tower, another proof that you do not have to be near the tower to get a good shot of it!
