It was really difficult to only pick the best three out of hundreds of submissions, but we finally managed to do so! Read the stories from Skye, Teta, and Veronica, our three #SweetSummerEscape Challenge Winners, and let these be an inspiration for your summer holiday this year!
I promise myself to accompany my daughter to experience one new thing she'd never tried before in her life every summer. Last summer (her 3rd one) was memorable because Skye used to be so scared of water. But together, we overcome it. She’s totally in love with water now and can do freestyle swim already. So, we booked a surfing lesson with professional coach to surprise her! And I told her “The only monster in this life is our fear. You beat it when you are 3, keep winning over it as you grow up".
Went to Italy back in June and did it SOLO! I planned it thoroughly before, but slight detail that I'd missed was making sure the instructor do speak English. Imagine paragliding with only 3 sacred instructive words; RUN, STOP and SIT. I was terrified but was mesmerised at the same time by the view of huge green lands with a beautifully shaped turquoise coloured river that will turn to another kind of beauty once winter's coming. I survived with minor sprained ankle but a full heart inside!
Our last summer trip was when we went to Thailand last year. We just wanted to take some break from our hectic daily life, but in that trip my boyfriend gave me a surprise! After more than 7 years together, finally he popped the question "Will you marry me?" 😍 Off course I said yes! And you can see my happy face was in that picture. I wish we can go back to Thailand this year with our favourite SweetEscape and take some photos before our wedding day!
Congratulations to our three winners! Each of you will get a 5 Days 4 Nights All-Expenses Paid trip to Bangkok and Khao Yai for two, plus free two-hours SweetEscape photo session, presented by SweetEscape and Tourism Authority of Thailand, supported by Yuna & Co., Optik Melawai, Lancca, and IZIRoam. For the rest of you, don't worry! We will still have tons of other promotions and giveaways in the future, so stay tuned and let's #MakeSummerMemorable!
Congratulations, Graduants! After years of grueling work and many sleepless nights studying, you're finally graduated! Taking photos to immortalize one of your biggest achievements in life is a necessity, but sometimes you might feel that taking the same old poses at the same old locations might be boring. Worry not, for we have compiled five ideas for your graduation shoots this year!
You spent days, nights, months and years in this space studying and working, but (most-importantly) you made new friends in the campus that would last forever. What better way to make the memories last forever than to capture your graduation shots right there at the place where very corner holds a special memory of your journey together.
As much as you spent your days in the campus, there must be nights and days where you walk and explore the city where you study, especially if you're studying overseas or in a different city. Walk down memory lane through your favourite shopping streets or the city's famous restaurant alley and capture your graduation photos in those spots.
Especially for you who go to school in world-famous or historic cities, you might want to take your graduation shots at the city's famous landmark. A picture speaks a thousand words and nothing tells a better university-life story than a picture (or lots of it) in London's Tower Bridge and Big Ben, NYC's Brooklyn Bridge and Liberty Island, or Tokyo Tower. Trust us, the picture will turn into a treasure to show your children in the future!
Friends are always needed to help you go through the rougher times of your college life, and capturing your graduation together with great photos is always a great way to make your friendship more memorable. However, as much as you enjoyed your time with your squad, there are always times when you had to fight your way through classes and lectures on your own. Celebrating your success in going through that and coming out on top with a solo photoshoot is not a bad idea!
By the time we graduated, we must have realized that our journey through college would never be possible without the support and love of our loved ones, be it our parents back home, or our significant others that supported us day to day, near or far. Celebrate your graduation by taking great photos with these most important people in your lives!
Wherever and whomever you want to take your graduation photos with, let SweetEscape capture the moment for you! We capture any occasion, any time, anywhere by connecting you to a growing network of photographers in 500+ cities around the world, and your photos will be ready for download in 48 hours after the session via the SweetEscape app and our website. Book your session today and let's #MakeLifeMemorable!
