Still in the spirit of Mother's Day, we feature inspiring moms with a story to tell us about her parenting style and a message on motherhood. We caught up with Stephanie Angelia - or more popularly known as Cinfung - who frequently shares about parenting and documents her experiences as mom to daughter Ashley Faith Soetanto on her Instagram. Having racked up a strong following online, Cinfung told us about how she loved taking photos of her daughter, the challenges she faced parenting a toddler and the importance of collecting memories. "I think everyone wants to capture beautiful moments that happen in their lives since we are forgetful creatures. This is how we remember things; in my case, I use photos to look back on the birthdays that my own parents threw for me growing up. I guess this is why I decided to capture every moment I share with Ashley. I figure no major life moment will happen twice, such as when your child learns how to stand up or to eat for the first time. I would like for Ashley to be able to look back on the first time she got on the bike, for instance, when she graduates from college. I don't want to miss any moment!

A lot of people would comment that it's useless to take Ashley on trips at such a young age, since she won't remember anything. But I will! I started taking her on trips when she was 5 months old and since then she's been to different places in the country, from Bali, Jakarta, Solo to Yogyakarta as well as Singapore, Japan and Europe. Europe was especially a challenge since we moved around between 7 hotels in 4 countries. To say I was tired was an understament. But even that didn't stop me from taking her on trips! I can't wait for us to go again, since it helped us share a deeper bond as a family and cultivate a sense of independence for Ashley, knowing that she has to look out for herself too and not being troublesome for her parents. At the same time, the experience taught me to be more patient with Ashley since there wasn't choice but to do just that. It was tiring, but I did it all with love.

*As a mother, it's important to do the best you can to make sure that your child grows up with good manners and morale. I think that's how you should define your success as a parent. Don't compare your child to someone else's child! Be a happy parent and you will have a happy child. *

If I could send out a message to other moms who are planning to take their children on a holiday, possibly involving a long-haul flight, is to prepare themselves physically and mentally before they go, and to capture every moment when they're on the trip. Believe me, a photo has so many stories to tell. Collect your moments and you will be happy when you look back on them."
