Social media darlings, Rajo Laurel and Nix Alañon, have influenced many with their story of love. In a world where relationships can easily falter, theirs has not only survived the times, but thrived. Their relationship has lasted for more than a decade and is still going strong as true love reigns over them. Here’s their story.

“We met at a party 13 years ago, we dated for 3 months and it really just felt right. Relationship for us is not without its challenges either, but we thrive by learning about and giving each other understanding more every day. Humor is an important part of who we are as this really keeps our relationship happy and healthy. Also, we know this sounds so cliche, but we learned to not sweat the small stuff, because really, if it won’t matter in the next ten years, there’s really no need to even dwell on it.

Our love for design and our creativity unites us and while we each manage our own individual businesses, we know that it cannot succeed without each other’s support. We’re lucky that we have a shared love for the creative industry and can bounce ideas off of each other, but on some days, the support we need is simply a physical presence and a listening ear as we talk about how our days went.

Another thing that we both love is traveling and we travel to get inspired. The choices of our holiday destinations depend on budget, time and desire. Our “must do” often includes local cuisine and local market. We also must visit the museum and try to fully experience the culture. We try to immense ourselves in the local culture so we do our research beforehand, for example, to see different districts and to experience how locals live their daily lives there. We always come home from each trip feeling refreshed, inspired, and that does a lot for our relationship.”
