ns across the country and around the world celebrate Canada Day, the national day of Canada. Usually most communities across the country will host organized celebrations for Canada Day, typically outdoor public events, such as parades, carnivals, festivals, barbecues, air and maritime shows, fireworks, and free musical concerts, as well as citizenship ceremonies.

However, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, 2020's Canada Day will be a little different, with government not encouraging people to gather together to celebrate the holiday. No worries, though! There are still plenty of things you can do to celebrate Canada Day this year safely!

The government of Canada presents two shows: the Daytime and Evening Shows, featuring many Canadian artists, for you to celebrate Canada Day! There's even an augmented reality (AR) smartphone experience where you can point your smartphone or tablet to the sky starting 10pm on July 1st and a 3 minutes AR Fireworks will be displayed!

2. Celebrate at home

There's a Canada Day Celebration kit you can download at www.canada.ca that can make your celebration at home no less fun. The government's website also provides a lot of other fun activities to do at home to celebrate the national holiday, such as cooking challenges, regional Canada Day celebrations, and even sports activities you can do this July 1st!
