The COVID-19 outbreak has put our normal lives on hold, including all of our travel plans. We know how difficult that must be for all of our Escapists around the world, as many of us have already planned and expected an exciting holiday or trip to beautiful places around the world, only for it to be cancelled or postponed indefinitely.

However, we all know that this is only something temporary, no matter how hard and scary this is right now. Recently, we reached out to our Escapists around the world via Instagram and asked all of you to name the city you wanted to visit the most after the outbreak will eventually be over, and here are the top 5 cities that you've picked!

1. Singapore

The ultra-modern city of Singapore is everyone's favourite. With places like Marina Bay Sands, The Helix Bridge, Gardens by The Bay, and the famous Orchard Road, Singapore is one of the world's most futuristic city. But not only that, Singapore also successfuly maintains its multiculturaly diverse heritage and traditions as shown in its delicious and wide variety of cuisines that could be found in hawker centres scatterd througout the island, and also with places like Tiong Bahru, Joo Chiat Road, and Chinatown to remind us of the past. We would definitely take the short flight to Singapore once all of this is done!

2. Bali

Times like these remind us a lot of the much-needed dose of vitamin sea, and what better place to visit for that than the Island of Gods itself: Bali. The smooth sands on beautiful beaches like Melasti and Nyanyi, the tranquility and serenity of the lush green fields of Ubud, and the kindness and hospitality of the Balinese people always make us want to come back there.

3. Bangkok

Remember the time when you just stand on the side of a busy Bangkok street, watching thousands of people walking, chatting, and eating, complete with the noisy sound of cars and tuk-tuks? Those time will come again soon, and when it's done, we can't wait to come back to this capital of Thailand, eating delicious street foods, shopping without fear through the many shopping malls and night markets around the city, and marveling at the beauty of the majestic Wat Arun.

4. Seoul

With more time spent at home watching Netflix, many of you are binge-watching on Korean dramas available on the streaming service, with 'Crash Landing On You' becoming the most popular among others. Hence, it is no wonder that many of you chose Seoul as the place you wanted to visit the most after the outbreak is over, where you can recreate many scenes from the K-dramas, while sampling some of South Korea's world-famous delicacies.

5. Tokyo

The most heartbreaking truth about this COVID-19 outbreak is that it happens right at the time when the beautiful cherry blossom trees in Japan and its neighbouring coutries are about to go full bloom. We know that a lot of you have already planned for a hanami trip to Japan, and we were already excited to capture all the beautiful sakura moments perfectly. Alas, the universe wanted a different scenario. However, we don't want you to lose hope! We believe that the next hanami season, when all of this is over, is undoubtedly going to be the most beautiful ever.
