If there is one place that has long been our favorites, it has to be bookstores. Never mind the fact that this is the digital era where books have to take a step back, we reserve a special spot for bookstores because there’s simply that irresistible aura, smell and feeling that only a bookstore can give you.
First, there’s the dreamy romantic vibes hidden between every tall wooden shelf in a bookstore. The parade of book spines decorates your surrounding, from thin to thick, from paperback to hardcopy, giving you a colorful palette that is just perfect for any holidaying couple. The dim lighting shining down from the ceiling and the hushed tranquil atmosphere lend to an overall lovely setting that rivals that of a natural panorama.
A lot of bookworms will tell you too how the smell of book can be more intoxicating than any fragrance of perfume. So if you see anyone trying to get a scent of a book, he or she might be guilty of ‘bibliomania’ or that good aroma of a book!
This is also true for the bookstore itself. Walk inside a bookstore and you’ll be greeted with a chemistry of air, a nostalgic remembrance of ol’ good times, and a whiff of fresh sheets of papers with printed inks. Some bookstores even offer an in-house cafe for you to pair your evening of good read with a warm sip of cappuccino.
Last but not least, bookstores carry a myriad of tones. It could be elegant with furnished mahogany bookshelves to relaxing with carpeted floor in modern bookshops, every bookstore is a promise of adventure that you can embark on with your lover or family members. If you bring along your kid, there’s something so magical about little ones and stacks of book too, wouldn’t you agree?
So if given the chance to experiment, we highly recommend you to try out bookstores available in your destination. These are the places where storytellers meet and tales were told. And trust us, it’s going to show in every fiber of your photography results and we promise, you’re going to love it.
