To All The Boys is a teen romance movie series on Netflix, based on a novel series by Jenny Han which was first released in 2014. It tells the story of Lara Jean Covey, a Korean American teenager and her journey of learning more about love.
The third movie in the series takes Lara Jean Covey to outside of Portland where she resides, and throughout the movie learns that physical distance shouldn’t deter love from continuing to bloom, and her boyfriend Peter Kavinsky learning the importance of supporting a partner’s dream. While most of us can’t travel around the world yet, let us take you on a trip through the moments SweetEscape has captured on the lovely locations featured in the movie!
Lara and her family visited Seoul on the spring break, and one of the locations they went to is Namsan Seoul Tower. Known for the sea of locks with love messages, they then try to find the one her mother had left on the bridge to memorialize her love for Dan, Lara’s father. They eventually found it along with her message, and it was a heartfelt moment for the family. With strong symbolism of love, a photoshoot here would be perfect with the people you hold dear!
While in Seoul, the family also visited other locations, and one of them is Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP). Designed by Zaha Hadid and Samoo, DDP is a popular tourist attraction and a centrepiece to South Korea as a fashion hub, being home to the yearly “Seoul Fashion Week” which sees many Korean idols attending the event! Photoshoot with your loved one with its cool architecture in the backdrop would make an awesome picture.
The kids from Adler High would fly to New York City on a school trip. As they split into groups with Lara Jean being paired with her best friend Christine, they then visited iconic locations. Surrounded by bright lights of billboards and advertisements, Times Square attracts tourists from around the world making it regarded as “the crossroads of the world”. Just like their excitement, a photoshoot there can make you feel like being in the centre of the world!
While Lara Jean went with Christine, she still keeps in touch with Peter, as the two exchanged photos of the places they visit. Seen in the show, Peter and his friend Trevor visited the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. With numerous bridges connecting New York City’s Manhattan area to surrounding boroughs, Brooklyn Bridge could be the most famous of the bunch. While you can enjoy a photoshoot with a view from the bridge, another option would be from Dumbo with the bridge as part of the background.
New York is filled with architectural marvels. A unique building visited by Laura Jean and Christine is the Flatiron Building. Originally called the Fuller Building, it has a unique pointed end design and situated in an intersection of two main roads that makes it stand out. Featuring a rustic limestone and terracotta exterior, a photoshoot at the centre of the crosswalk with this building in sight is sure not to be missed out.
