Prevent Breast Cancer ASAP with These Simple Tips from Us!

Welcoming the month of October, some of you may or may not know that aside from Halloween, October is also known as Breast Cancer Awareness month. Breast cancer is perhaps one of the most common illnesses that occur within the female gender, and curing the cancer is always a gamble. Since we care about our Escapists, we highly encourage you to be more aware of the ilness and the changes you can make in your lives in order for you to turn your lives around for the better. With that said, SweetEscape would like to inform our female audience on simple ways to prevent breast cancer. Read on below if you care about your well-being!

1. Stop smoking - or don't get into the habit at all!

Cigarettes are named cancer sticks for a reason as they're the number 1 cancer-risk factor in the world. So, for our dear Escapists who happen to be active or even passive smokers... We hope and extremely encourage you to give up the habit ASAP before you regret it later on. For those of you who are already addicted to nicotine, we say it's time for you to find an alternative for your smoking habit if you really care about your health. Luckily, you can easily find nicotine candy and patches at your local drugstore for your convenience. And if you're not a smoker, it's suggested that you stay away from places of heavy smokers. Fact is, the effects are even worse for secondhand smokers... Scary, right?

2. Say no to or limit your alchohol intake.

For those of you who are already in your 20s or approaching your 30s, it's highly encouraged that you limit (if you can't seem to quit right away) your alcohol intake for the sake of your own health. If you don't already know, there are many great sides to decreasing your alcohol intake or better yet, saying no to it altogether. Alcohol seems great and all, but it's only temporary! It gets you in the mood and feeling all good, but if you don't watch your intake, it'll do you some serious damage later on. So, before it's too late and while you still can, decrease your alcohol intake to not more than a glass a day. For our female audience, we suggest a glass of wine for the nighttime before bed is a beneficial choice for you.

2. Eat healthy. Stay away from the junkfood.

We know, how can you say no to all those yummy french fries or juicy burgers from your favorite fast-food chain? Or perhaps your local grub spot that serves the best fried and oily dishes that are just downright heavenly once you munch on your favorite dish just seems to always turn any day downside up. Well, we hate to break it to you, it's all great and tasty for the soul... but it's only good until a certain point and time when your body starts reacting. The reason why fast-food is given the term is because the food you're given are processed over with all sorts of chemicals and methods that you wouldn't want to know. But we suggest that you look into the behind-the-scenes of how your favorite fast-food chain serves your food, and hopefully that'll be enough for you to consider!

3. Exercise, love your body!

One of the most important things to consider and remember not only for breast cancer prevention is to exercise routinely. Exercising is great for the mind, body and soul, hence it's a great idea to start implementing the good habit of exercising unto your daily life. Exercise doesn't always have to be boring and tiresome, it can be as simple as taking a nice walk at the park, or perhaps making use of those stairs at your home for say, 30 minutes a day. You'll notice the difference as you start building this new habit, and this is going to help you prevent unwanted sicknesses even more! Especially for those of you who live unhealthy lives or consume mostly junkfood, it's mandatory that you exercise so that at least you have a medium to get rid of those toxins daily.

4. Relax and meditate, de-stress yourself.

Especially for those of you who lead busy and active lives, most likely you don't really have time for yourself anymore. Whether it be because of work, or perhaps you're a mother of two or more kids to look after, you still need to sit back, relax and make some time for yourself. Stress occurs in almost everyone, or if not, eventually they will face this at a certain point in life. The stress stage, however, can do some real damage for the body and soul. Fact is, when you're going through stressful times, your body's immune system decreases - making it easier for you to pick up on unwanted diseases and sicknesses. So, our dear escapists, it's important that you know that stress comes from your thoughts... hence why people like to say; you are what your thoughts are. De-stress yourself, relax, and meditate and you'll find yourself living more peacefully.

5. Fresh air for the mind, body and soul.

Last but not least, you should remember to constantly get yourself some fresh air and oxygen to refresh the mind, body, and soul. If you pay attention, the modern the society becomes, the faster and higher the death rates. Why? Simply because the world is becoming more and more polluted, and with industries spreading and expanding throughout the globe - you can barely get fresh air unless you travel somewhere far where you'll be surrounded with clean air, trees and clear skies. If you care about yourself, it's really suggested that you take upon this trip as often as you can to get rid of all the city pollution within your system.
