Now that we’ve reached November, it’s a good time to reflect on the things we should be thankful for especially since this is the month of Thanksgiving. A little but useful tip for you is to try to change your perspective and instead of feeling depressed at how life has been treating you lately… find those little but meaningful things to be thankful for. Gratitude even for the smaller things in life will turn your world downside up!
Here are 5 important reasons to be thankful for this year!
One’s health has becomes a major importance more than ever before. It takes the mind, body and soul to be able to get through our entire lives. So let’s be thankful that you've lived this long, and that you get to see another day. Whether or not life is hard at the moment, know that life in itself is a process of learning, growth and so much more. Being thankful doesn't take much of an effort if only you are willing to try to build that new habit. Start your day by being thankful that you're alive and well to conquer another day.
No matter how far you’ve made it in life so far, you should remember that the very first people to care for and nurture you in this lifetime… are none other than your own family. Whether it be your parents, siblings, or extended family - they’re your family. Look back on the days when you were younger and the world seemed like such a scary place for you to face. Who was there to take care of you during those times? Perhaps it was always your mom or dad who was always by your side, and for that, you should be thankful for them!
For as long as we live, we’ll be needing friends and our networks to keep going forward. Sometimes you just need those extra special people who would see you in a different light. If you are blessed with special friends and friendships that have been going on for years and perhaps even decades, you should be extremely thankful for these friends of yours! Friends are easy to make, but it's the real ones that are hard to find. When you've already got that person, thank them for having been there for the many times you were down.
Having a significant other in your life to share your life’s journey together is precious. All the commitments and sacrifices that your partner has made should be remembered forever. Because accepting someone as partner in life requires mutual dedication to accept one another’s perfection and imperfection and knowing that life wouldn’t be complete without their presence. So let’s appreciate their love language, cherish the memories shared and continue to love your partner for who they are.
Why? Because you’ve made it this far in your life, and wherever you are right now isn’t for nothing, we assure you! You have a purpose in this life, and for that, be thankful that you’re still able to do the things you do, need, and plan to do. It's always so easy to compare ourselves to those who seem better off. Maybe they've got that all the things you've always wanted. The more you think in that manner, the more life will seem to crumble down. So let’s not compare ourselves constantly to others, acknowledge that everyone’s life journey is different, and continue to appreciate our achievements in life whether big or small.
